Photophobia is a music video for the song of the same name by the group Savoy Grand. It is an exploration of the many overlapping stories and events that make up an average night. Shot in over 8 countries and over a period of 2 years it contrasts stillness and movement, darkness and light. The world at night is a swirl of light and yet for brief moments people are drawn into sharp focus as they step off the merry-go-round in a moment of contemplation. Homeless beggars, lovers and the broken hearted all seem to stop as the world mores past them. Composed of over 11,000 still images, Photophobia is a representation of cities at night captured through movement and light.
