Thesis of Evil is a story of Dr Professor, the most successful super villain of his time. In a time where super villains are more celebrated than heroes, doing evil has become a huge business. And where there is money, there are always the men in suits pushing paperwork and schedules. Dr Professor finds himself not to be the one in control of his own evildoing: he notices he has become a prisoner of his backing powers and his idol status. He has lost interest in his passion and work, doing evil. Naturally he isn't very amused about it... How can he take his destiny in his own hands again? Dr Professor’s Thesis of Evil is a dark comedy set in the world of superheroes, gigantic mutant koalas and death rays. The movie will set a corner stone in the new world of original motion novels, a fascinating combination of photography, 3D graphics and animation.

The movie project originally started in 2008/2009 as a thesis for Jukka Vidgren (the director) and Juuso Laatio (the cinematographer), both from Oulu. Soon it grew from an ambitious shared effort of dozens of people into a professional production unrelated to school that both the fans and the professionals have faith in. The supervillain-themed satirical movie was premiered in September 2011 at the 24th Helsinki International Film Festival Love & Anarchy. The movie completed a successful crowd funding campaign on the IndieGoGo website and gained the target sum of 8,000 dollars from its fans. The movie project gathered international interest already before its release. Its first teaser video was watched 25 000 times from 144 countries and the website was visited from 81 countries before the movie release the release of the movie. Behind Dr Professor’s Thesis of Evil is an innovative team consisting of young, talented media professionals and students from Oulu, Finland. The team cooperated with other media professionals from UK/China, USA and Canada and they worked a long time on the movie as a team effort. For Dr Professor’s Thesis of Evil the team created a technique called Motion Novel. The movie and its visuals have been praised by several professionals. Motion novel technique, created by the team, combines high quality photography, 3D computer graphics and animation in forming a visually elegant production and resulting a new way of storytelling. The movie is the first Motion Novel in the world. Motion novel allows high class visual style with less budget and less resources. It's easy to localize as there is no lip sync.
