The film Horcón creates an environment that features the most genuine Chilean temper and character, human and inhuman at the same time. The main character is a german girl, whose father is Chilean and who travels for the first time to the south american country to cast her father’s ashes into the sea at the Cove of Horcon. She will be a witness of the past and of what happens during the time of her stay. In a certain way her presence provoques an evil resurrection of those past times which led to the military coup in 1973, allowing its victims to take, almost 30 years later, reprisals that have been brewing ever since they suffered all that personal injure. “La violence qui se vent legitime”.
