In present-day Lisbon drowned in a Film Noir universe, an accountant becomes obsessed with a married woman who moves to the apartment downstairs. When her husband is killed, a wandering detective starts investigating the murder, finding a bizarre and unsettling atmosphere surrounding a manipulator woman, her strangled husband and a voyeur neighbor.
"Tejo" is the name of the river that crosses Lisbon - one of the oldest European capitals. From here departed the great Portuguese sailors who mapped the world 500 years ago, in the Age of Discovery.
Today, the river is still there, telling us that nothing came to stay.
