This Festival was founded in 2005
Kinemastik is an NGO responsible for a year-round cultural programme based around screenings, talks, exhibitions and concerts that culminates with the Kinemastik International Short Film Festival.
The festival will be held over several days between July 26th and July 30th at Garden of Rest, Floriana (Malta). The highlight of the festival is the Westside Selekt weekend, open-air screenings held at one of the most beautiful garden cemeteries.
Kinemastik collaborates with international festivals and filmmakers to bring to our shores a selection of incredible film and directors to experience Malta and meet local residents.
In the past couple of years, Kinemastik has worked with Ben Russell, Eduardo Teddy Williams, Nahuel Perez Biscayart, Basma Alsharif, Lucas Abela etc.
We have hosted representatives from Sundance Film Festival, Milano Film Festival, Sheffield Doc Fest etc.
