From Dec. 16, 2017 until Dec. 17, 2017

Regulations

General information for the 2nd Edition of the Berlin Experimental Film Festival:

Berlin Experimental Film Festival focuses solely on Experimental films of all kind from all around the world. The Festival takes place at Kino Moviemento, the oldest Cinema in Germany, founded in 1907 located in Kreuzberg in the middle of Berlin.

We are looking to once again present a weekend packed with no less than ten hours of pure Experimental Cinema. We first and foremost seek bravery and a lust to experiment and express using the medium of Film, regardless if the film maker is an amateur starting out or an established professional. Key for the festivals program is the experimental method and the personal approach of the film maker.

Regardless if its a quiet sensitive film about personal pain, an angry roar against society, a light hearted documentary about a grandmother, a visual portrayal of sound itself or an insecure attempt to wander into an unknown sexuality - the Experimental Film making as such is what the curated program is be built upon.

We work to provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere so that the Festival becomes a meeting point for film makers, film organizations, enthusiasts and audience to meet at. We heavily market the festival and participating films to fill the screenings, the first edition was sold out.

We provide accomodation for all selected film makers.

We offer accreditation to both Commercial and Non Profit Organizations such as NGO's, Film Clubs, Production Companies, Agencies etc that have Experimental Films as interest. If you represent an Organization of this kind please contact us for more information.
